Location: Camden County, New Jersey
Status: Still there, although attached to a working building.

I stumbled across this not-too-well-known treasure in Camden County, New Jersey about 4 years ago, and today my buddy Dan and I decided to head back to the old place and get some pictures, something we didn’t do the first time we were in there. This building is right on a busy road, and located near a sheriff’s station, so be warned.
We walked around the building and took some pics, then headed up a vine covered stairwell to find the
door was open!
This was good news compared to before when we’d have to go in through the basement window with 2 inches of water on the ground.
We walked the old hallways of the top floor, examining the deteriorating walls and stripped floors.
We went to the end of the hall and found my favorite part of the building, “the ivy room”. As you can expect, this room is completely filled with ivy and makes for a beautiful picture. The room next to it contained drawn cartoons on the walls.

We turned around and walked back down the hallway till we reached a ladder that headed up into the attic.

The attic is pretty bare, minus a few old containers and pigeon and bat crap everywhere. Walking to the middle of the attic, you’ll find a step stool that’ll lead you into the elevator control room, and hence atop the highest part of the structure.

After having our fill of the attic we headed down the latter and down the stairs to the first floor.
This floor, unlike the top floor, is crammed with stuff; old desks, mattress, blueprints of the town (must be storage) and other random objects. In one room we found old video wheels, and directions on how to prevent rats.
We proceeded next to the basement which up until then, had always been flooded and not walkable. Well now a pump was situated down in the dark shadows and it lay dry.
We clicked our only flashlight on and moved room to room. The basement gave of an eery, yet interesting appeal. It’s heavy, steal doors were rusted over, some of them not even attached, and a lot of the rooms had streaks of light coming through the broken windows.
The sweetest thing about the basement was the old, grate-style elevator door that lay sitting at the glass elevator doorway. Although we couldn’t open the door, we could still see the old piece of equiptment, lying dormant.

On our way out we saw one last thing; the skeleton of cat, laying stretched out on the floor next to the last step.

There's Fluffy!...
This place always has a suprise when I check in on it.
Here are all the pictures I took at this building, enjoy!
